Meet THE FOUNDER

SAYYAM KATHURIA
Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS)
BSc (Hons) & Master’s by Research (MRes)
Post Graduate Researcher & PhD Candidate
What started as a way to help my father continue training as a senior badminton athlete, and to encourage my mother to begin strength training remotely, quickly evolved into a profession. Since early 2023, that same approach has expanded to working with both recreational and professional athletes.

I believe strength training forms the foundation of everything athletic performance, longevity, body composition, self-confidence, discipline, and patience. It is not just a tool for sport, but a lifelong investment in physical capability.
With a personal passion for both strength and endurance training, and a background in performance training, sports biomechanics, and neuromuscular physiology, I aim to apply evidence-based methods to every program I design.

I am currently pursuing a PhD at Aspetar and FAU, where my research focuses on neuromuscular adaptations to training, particularly in the rehabilitation of lower-limb injuries. What I learn as a researcher and academic directly informs how I coach — allowing me to make training simpler, more structured, and more effective for my clients.

The philosophy I live by is the aggregation of marginal gains: the idea that meaningful progress comes from consistently improving the small details. Through Skat Strength, my goal is to help clients stack these small improvements so that, over time, they compound into lasting and significant results.
